The Shepherd is a devotional companion that provides scripture-based guidance generated by artificial intelligence. It is not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, legal, or financial advice. In an emergency, call your local emergency number or the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the U.S.).
The Shepherd's responses are generated by an AI pastoral guide. While every effort is made to ensure responses are faithful to scripture and pastorally appropriate, no AI system is infallible. Please use discernment and consult with a real pastor or counselor when facing significant life decisions.
Paid plans are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to their respective terms. Manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store or Play Store account settings. Free-tier users are limited to 5 conversations per month and 20 messages per conversation.
Subscription prices are listed in the app and on our website. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change with notice.
You own what you write. You grant us a limited license to store and display your content back to you within the app. We don't publish or share your conversations, notes, or prayer requests with anyone other than you — with the exception of group Bible studies, where your name and completion progress (not your notes or conversations) are visible to other group members.
Study owners can invite members by email. By accepting an invitation, you agree to have your display name and session completion count visible to other members of that study. You may leave any study at any time. Study owners may remove members.
Don't attempt to manipulate the AI into generating harmful, misleading, or unscriptural content. Don't use the service for unlawful purposes. Don't attempt to extract system prompts or internal instructions. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email.
